FAL Q1 Roundup

Oh how time flies!

Time to see how I did on the FAL, and I was quite ambitious

My original Post is here

1.  #scrappytripalong - I wasn't feeling the love for this

Pleased to report this is DONE

Blog post for this finish is here

2.  Ab Fab Free Bees Round Robin  for Lynz

Oh I snuck this one in right under the wire!

DONE finished post is here

3.  Brit Bee LynnBob Quilt -

I had 22 blocks, I needed to make a further 3, piece the top and get it quilted!

I did ok

not quilted, but Houston, we have a completed top! Given my ambitious plan,
I'm calling this DONE!
Read about it here

4. Big Vintage Modern Stars Quilt

Now this is DONE

quilted and bound, and already in use, blog post here

5.  Christmas Quilt -

All the pieces were cut, apart from a few background squares, only because I ran out of fabric, I was trying to do this one from stash only, but I think a visit to the LQS to see if they still have some to keep it unified.  so just piecing, quilting and finishing another!

Sadly the LQS had sold out, and I ordered an alternate that I thought was close,

so now I have everything cut, but that's as far as this one has gone -  :(

6.  Big Blocks Quilt -

so, turn this pile of fabric into a quilt

so I added a few more

and had a play

and turn those babies into a quilt I did!

Although this is not quilted, do you know what, I'm calling it DONE for this quarter
blog post is here

So there you have it, 5 out of 6 are done, at least to the point where they are no longer bothersome!

I think that is pretty successful all things considered.
Of course this doesn't include the Bee Blocks I got caught up on, the customer quilts I've done or the extra's and the odd cushion or two that have been thrown in for good measure!

Now to consider what I can reasonably achieve in Quarter 2!

Inspiring quilts... you've been a very busy bee... and what a fabulous 'top tip' way of hanging your most wonderful star quilt, going to try that soon. I love your tiny Churndash pillow too and have set aside a few lovelies to make one, just like yours! good wishes, Angie

When you list it all like that, it's amazing how much you get done all the time.

As much as I love you, your idea of 'done' is not the same as mine missus!! Beautiful real finishes though xxxx

I think you've done marvellously! I also have plans to make my Christmas quilt this year but I'll be happy if I'm starting to quilt it in November or December! Can't wait to see what's on the Q2 list! Hope you're feeling brighter x
