Its been hanging up waiting for a quilting opening for some time. And is still hanging about waiting for a slight modification and some 'contemporary' quilting! Fesstival entry is looking unlikely now, but I'd still like it done.

#7  Sprinkles - I pattern tested this for Sue, (must blog about it) (Carried over from Qtr 2)

#8 More Pattern Testing, this one for Megan - love it so much I must finish it!

currently picked up and labeled into a bag waiting for an opportunity to sit and sew.
I've done some blocks, but that's it.

#9 and just for Sarah - Hunters Star quilt - Gulp!  this one is a monster, with more piecing than a box of dropped crockery!  Jury's out I'm afraid - but it made the list all the same!

Don't hold your breath on this one!

#13 and I forgot about these, til I got home, 2 Baby Quilts, part of  #BritBeeForever and Hadley is waiting to add the binding, on her list, so I need to quilt, trim and post to Hadley, so she can bind.  Definitely a joint effort here by the whole of the Brit Bee!

Done! - Blog post here

#14 Peppered Cottons quilt - these have been together since I bought them, ooooh at least 2 months ago!

nothing like a deadline (even a self imposed one!) untouched!

So a respectable Four Finishes!
Actually its 5 quilts, because one of them was in fact 2 quilts in one project!

So, in the same period I have quilted 18 customer quilts, one of which I made and have written a pattern for, 3 articles, and taught on 9 full day classes.  2 Quilt shows, 3 sets of Pea Room block of the Month, and had a weeks holiday! Plus the day job!

So linking this up with Katy, before the deadline of midnight tonight!

Qtr1

#1  Swoon Quilt - only need to quilt and bind it, only!

#2  The big star I pieced back at the Kitchen Guild Weekend Retreat -  so quilted and bound, again.

#3 This is a Schnibbles quilt I made at least ... ooh, well I cant remember now!  but, quilted and bound is all its gonna take to finish this pretty.

Can you see a theme yet?

#4 And this Kaffe/batik (yes, I have more to come avert your eyes now!) -  again quilting and binding to finish.

#5 Oriental wall hanging type thingy -  quilted and bound!

#6  Cute Linus quilt - quilting and binding for the finish

#7 batik stash buster quilt, at least 2009 I made this!  Another to be quilted and bound

#8  PB&J Kaleidoscope quilt -  oooh, some piecing, all the blocks are made, all 58 of them, they just need to be put together, borders added, oh and quilted and bound.

#9  so this little lovely is waiting for the Art Gallery Fabric Pure Elements in Snow to turn up, (tomorrows the day!) so that it can be turned into something along the lines of them there disappearing pinwheels below that I already started.

So one layer cake to miraculously be turned into a finished quilt, much like this below

#10  Layer Cake Lemonade top, to be quilted and bound

#11  the Secret project, still need to have the binding stitched down and a label sewn on!

so 8 tops and few other bits!  madness I know, but my new toy needs a bit of a work out, and I have been saving them for this day to come!

2013

Q3 - The Finishes

#3 Beginner Patchwork Class Sample - Done and Delivered

Q3 - The List!

#1 Siblings Together Quilt ... carried over from Qtr 2, still like this, need to finish piecing, quilt and post it off.

#2 Overs and Unders top ... another carry over from Qtr 2, still just a top, needs quilting, binding and done!

#3 Beginners Patchwork Class Sample - currently not quite 3 blocks, one of which may have some value issues going on, but needs to be a finished article, along with class description and requirements list ... (and maybe a lesson plan too!)

and finally, in the interest of knowing what work I have already booked in ...

#4 Swoon Quilt - its a top, it just needs quilting, binding and finishing off - simplez!

Q2  - The Finishes

#1 - That'll do Pig - Done (18 Apr 2013)

Finished and sold, blog post is here.

#2 - Brit Bee quilt - Done (04 May 13)

blog post here

#3 Star quilt Shop Sample - done (16 May 13)

blog post here

Q2 - The List

#1 The Big Blocks, now affectionately known as That'll do Pig!
one top, needs quilting and binding

#2 Brit Bee LynneBob top, to be quilted and bound

#3 this start quilt, from an on-line tutorial, which it seems I have since lost the instructions for! Ooops.
Its clogging up my dining table right now, all the cutting is done, bar borders, and a good portion of piecing is at least started.  So, just the small matter of finish off the piecing, and quilt and bind this baby!  Easy right!

# 4 Overs and Unders, top is done, bonus from last months sickness, just to be quilted and bound.  Ha, Just!

# 5 a miniature star quilt like the big vintage modern one, all cut, piecing started, just need to finish the piecing and quilt, bind and deliver as a shop sample

# 6 Linen cushion - I need to expedite this, its been cut, and the thread is just sitting there,
waiting for some magic to happen, and then I can get it sent to its new home

# 7 Siblings Together Quilt, cut, partially pieced, just have to piece and add the borders, quilt and bind ready for delivery at Fat Quarterly Retreat in July.

so that's my list.  I promise to do my best to Finish these, in the proper sense this time round :)
and as its bigger than the last list, its quite a challenge, as you know, I don't make small quilts!  There's some serious quilting to be fitted in between customer quilts and class preparation, oh and the day job!

Finishes - Q1

#1  Scrappytripalong  (19 Jan 13)

blog post here:

#4 Big Stars (20 Mar 13)

its time to bare all!
Q1

Leanne of She Can Quilt is hosting the Finish-A-Long this year, and its time for me to declare my UFO's I intend to finish in the next 3 months

Now, unlike some, and others, I am not going to list absolutely every UFO I have, to be frank I think you'd be overwhelmed and embarrassed on my behalf and I don't want to do that to you,

so in the interest of public safety I have whittled my list down to these ...

1.  #scrappytripalong - to be fair, I am not feeling the love for this, shock horror, I thought I'd get that in straight away!

I just need to sew the binding down, and to be honest, its not something I've been rushing around to get done, I've already started something else in my head and left this aside!

2.  Ab Fab Free Bees Round Robin  for Lynz

I should have finished this way back in August, it got to me late, but September should have been it!  I stared   at it for the longest time, then had an idea, then waited for fabric and there it sits goading me!  so I need to add to this, make a sigi block and write my confessions in Lynz's hand made journal.

3.  Brit Bee LynnBob Quilt - this is from the first round of the Brit Bee last year, and I was first, which also means, I've already got my blocks for the second round, but we'll save that one for another quarter eh?

I have 22 blocks, I need to make a further 3, piece the top and get it quilted!

4. Big Vintage Modern Stars Quilt

its a top, at least, and that's how it's stayed, I have the backing, I have some spare blocks, I just need to piece the back, its a bit of a monster, and quilt and finish it!

5.  Christmas Quilt - I started this one just before Christmas, but just ran out of time and steam, I don't want it to sit around for the rest of the year and lose too much momentum.

All the pieces are cut, apart from a few background squares, only because I ran out of fabric, I was trying to do this one from stash only, but I think a visit to the LQS to see if they still have some to keep it unified.  so just piecing, quilting and finishing another!

6.  Big Blocks Quilt - I got this pile of fabric in the sales and I had a plan for it when I bought it, are you shocked?  lol!

so, turn this pile of fabric into a quilt - easy right?

I think 6 things is manageable, 2 a month, seems achievable.

So what can go wrong?  well, there are the Bee Blocks I need to keep up with, and I still owe one set.  I have a couple of samplers on the go, and I need to catch up on those, and then there are the customer quilts,  I have a several in the pipeline, and a commission quilt I need to move to done, but I don't think these fit in the FAL rules.  so it's going to be a challenge, and I hope I can get myself organised enough to complete it all!

wish me luck, I think I need it!
