It's like buses round here, no blog posts for days and then two come along at once!
so, as part of my FAL Q2 list was this ...
a pile of cut pieces, and one little block ...
a sample for Stitchcraft Studio in Grantham, I needed to get it done
it was the weekend, and I have taken to doing piecing and quilting for me at the weekends,
rather than working on customer quilts, and feeling like I never sew for me
so I gathered my bits and bobs ...
and dealt with the incontinent iron ... really!
and before I knew it I had a top!
so I loaded that baby up, and set to with the quilting
which actually took less time than I thought it would
and to save time because this was now Sunday afternoon,
I machined the binding on, not brilliant, but its done
and as a sample of my Big Vintage Modern Stars quilt, you know, the Missourri Star Quilt Company pattern
I'm pretty damn pleased with the result!
So, that's one quilt, finished, delivered and now hanging in the shop,
I'll be teaching this as a class on 27 July if you are interested ...
Just sayin'
so I do believe that is finish number 3 on my Q2 FAL list!
Ta Dah!!!!!

Wow, well done you! And smart for tackling something on the list for this quarter as opposed to, oh, one you'd planned for Q4 for example...
I don't beleeeeve it. You have made that quilt in exactly the colours I have planned to do mine in!
Yours looks fabulous.
Looks great Trudi! And I think i have the same iron, it's also incontinent, v. annoying!
I'm still snickering at the incontinent iron. Quilt looks fab. You all keep giving me two reasons to want to visit Grantham!
I saw it hanging in the shop and was immediately attracted, I love the colours :) I would never have believed you made it in such a short time, wow.
Fab finish! I too have an incontinent iron. It's new as well since I broke two already this year.
