so before I finished work on Thursday I need to hand over a birthday gift,
so that meant a little last minute gift making on Wednesday evening,
after work, and all the other household chores
you know what its like ...
so I grabbed some of those pretty scraps from the last big blocks quilt,
and my pattern from the Framed Purse class by Katy at FQR last summer
and proceeded ...
and before long ...
a little purse was born
ok, maybe not so little, I used a 6" x 3" frame
and do you know what, I'm pretty damn pleased with this!
I do hope my friend is happy with it, filled with some always needed pretty tissues
and emergency chocolate of course!
Fabulous gift-bet she was thrilled
It's lovely! I really really like that it has a pieced stripe. That's a great idea :)
oooh, that is sooo lovely....
Household chores? What are they then?
Fun purse :oD
Your friend will love it!
Lovely purse...and ugh, hate household chores!
I love making these little coin purses! Mine have holes in the frame and I have to find a needle to go through the tiny holes yet have a large enough eye to hold the rather sturdy thread you have to use.
I like yours better, did you use glue in the track?
A purse with tissues and chocolate sounds perfect to me!
Sounds like you have it covered! Emergency chocolate in my purse ? Such a great idea!
It is such a nice gift and if it contains chocolate then it is a winner! Di x
It's beautiful! I really need to get round to make one of those...
Lovely! (and roomy too!) Have to admit that sewing comes before chores in this house (slap on the wrist for me!) x
The best kind of gift - filled with chocolate! Do you glue in a raw edge to the frame, or have a finsihed seam? Jxo
Wow - it looks (and sounds!) like a handbag essential!!! I love the patchwork block in the middle x
