Celebration Giveaway!

In honour of my 100th post, I thought I should celebrate with a little give away. I have rummaged, contemplated, stroked lots of fabric in an attempt to get the right things to celebrate with. Fabric was always gonna be on the agenda, that's a given, right? I love to celebrate with a little drop of the bubbly stuff, in fact I'm a little partial to it! (though I haven't touched a drop since before the surgery) Perhaps it's time!

Now I can't stretch to a bottle of the ol' bubbly in the post, and with the postal strikes looming, I'm not so sure it would make it out of the sorting office! I have to thank Tina for suggesting eating 100 Maltesers, now every one loves chocolate right! I know I do, mmm, yummy! So I went with the bubble thing. And I love the naughtyness of the Maltesers adverts too!

Whilst I was out at the LQS on Friday, I picked up these morsels, ( no, not the chocolate!) They are mainly fat eighths, (1FQ so far) and I am sure I can find some more dotty fabric to go with it by the time I send them out.

So if you fancy having these arrive through your letter box in the very near future, just leave me a comment telling me how you like to celebrate special occasions. Yep, that's all, no posting about it, you can if you want to, no follow me, or anything like that, just leave me a comment and I'll count you in!
Closing date will be a week today, midnight (2359 hrs GMT) Sunday 25th October 2009. I'll let you know as soon after that, (I will be sleeping) who has won.
I would like to thank all of you for coming over to read my blog, leave me encouraging comments. I do love to receive your comments. Over the last 10 months, yes it's only been 10 months since I started blogging, I have made 19 quilts (15 published), found the drive to complete more, start new and exciting things I would never have tackled without the encouragement and inspiration from all of you out there in blogland.
So to all of you, I Thank You!

This giveaway is now closed. Thank you to everyone for your lovely comments and congratulations.

Congrats on the 100th post!! Saw the maltesers and just had to comment that I once managed to fit 26 maltesers in my mouth all in one go! Not really anything to do with celebrating but thought it may raise a smile!! :)

I love to celebrate any special occasion with my husband and kids. It is even better if both my kids are off work and can join in the celebration together. Often times we celebrate with one at a time since they both work odd shifts.

Celebrations for us mean FAMILY and not anything material that happens to be expected during a certain holiday as familiy is the gift you get to celebrate everyday! Congrats on making it to 100! Hopefully soon it will be 1000!

Congrats! I like to celebrate with my family by having a day in the city, watching a movie, and eating at a nicer restaurant than we normally would.

Well, I just love Celebrating. Usually with food - at home or out and about. I like to make an event of it by having or doing something the celebratant likes but with a twist. For Greg's birthday we invited everyone to go to his favorite pub but I got us a room nearby so we could walk and stay the weekend. For my Birthday he arranged for lunch at the Tea House and then off to another town to do a little decorate your own pottery. Sometimes we just go through the auto car wash together and kiss when all the windows are covered in suds. Other times we break open a beer or a bottle of Grand Spumante and sit outside with a fire in the fire pit even if it's raining or there's snow all around. mmm, hot chocolate and marshmellows. Those chocolate malt balls would be good with that.

Wow... 100 posts, your blog does look a post over 23! How do we celebrate? WE EAT! We center everything around food and sometimes family. But you can't beat the automatic car wash for a romantic escape in my opinion, or a trip to the quilt shop. Theres nothing like a good ol' FART (Fabric Acquiring Road Trip) to celebrate something important, like having money left over after allt he bills are paid!).

Celebrations always include time with family and friends and usually involve a delicious meal or two- Sometimes it involves presents

Speaking of presents you are going to make someone very happy when you draw their name.
Treats and fabric are so much fun and make a lovely giveaway Prize.
Congratulations on reaching 100 posts.
Warmest regards from a Western Canadian Quilter,
Anna

Congratulations on 100 posts and so many quilts!
With only 3 family members in the area our celebrations are usually a meal out. Very quiet and simple.

Congratulations Trudi, 100 posts and 19 quilts, I'm surprised you have time to eat chocolate ha ha. I've really enjoyed your blog so far and it has encouraged me in doing mine.
To celebrate I like to be with family and friends and to eat seafood and delicious desserts - my last birthday lunch was a dozen oysters followed by a gorgeous creme brulee, heaven!

100 posts! How exciting- congratulations! How do I celebrate special occasions? Well, it depends who I'm with! If I'm with family, I drink. It's the only way I can cope! And if it's with My Mister, or my close friends, eating foods and having a nice relaxing is just the ticket! Congrats again!

Congrats on your 100 posts, hope you have a million more, LOL, I really love the fabric, please count me in your giveaway, well how do I celebrate special occasions?, everytime I'm with my family it's an special occassion, but the fact being with them and sharing a meal or tea IT'S PRICELESS!, to be with the ones you love it's going to be forever with you

It all depends on what I'm celebrating. If it's a family birthday/event we have the whole family here for a meal, which is noisy, chaotic, tiring and fun. If it's a personal celebration - chocolate and fabric, how else?
Congratulations on your 100th!

Well, thank you! Usually special occasions are celebrated around a meal. It may be a big party or going out to dinner. If it's for me, I love to go out - no cooking!

For me, celebrating happens when family gets together.

You have a super-cute blog! A friend of mine had to wear the torso brace thingie after surgery and we called it her turtle shell.

Tina sent me over as I'm a Lincolnshire girl too and I had to comment when I saw the Maltesers. I am a quiet kinda gal so I like simple celebrations with my DH and a bottle of wine. My DH likes a party with all his friends and some loud music! Congratulations on your 100 posts and 19 quilts. Here's to the next 100!
