And Exhale .....

I'm fighting off a cold, have been for a week or so, but a few lay ins now its half term will either kill me or cure me!

this morning, I was feeling much better, apart from waking up to snow!

so there is home made soup on the go, and I have written my half term to do list ....

first up I have to finish quilting this one for my friend Jean who is moving to South Wales on Tuesday!

and that laundry bin and the bag next to it are full of scraps, which need to be sorted, bagged up and taken with the quilt for her daughter to use at school ...

I know, there are better uses for lovely scraps, but I just need them gone for now,  if you are desperate for a bag of scraps, let me know quick

and then there is Swoon,  I somehow managed to buddy up with Lauli pops and set us a challenge to have our tops done by the time the Brit Bee and friends meet up in late November ....

so this is the state of my swoon so far, and I am pleased to see I have 4 blocks done so its not as bad a situation as I thought. ...

I'll keep you posted on progress over the next few weeks ...

I must get Susan's Brit Bee blocks done, and this is how one of them stands right now ...

hmm, I want to get these in the post on Monday ...

and sometime over the week,  did I tell you I am not back at work until Thursday 8 November?   well, sometime over the next week or so, I want to get all the cutting for my Mod Pop done, so I can sew a little as and when I get the urge ....

there is also the small matter of a class submission or two to finish writing and a few samples sewn by the end of this weekend ...

and now I think I'll stop ,  my to do list is so much longer but I do want to be able to get those lay ins, run around with the Diva ...

and Exhale!

Exhale some more. I am away all week. Katy isn't doing her blocks for me until after she returns. Just bring my blocks with you in November. No problem I have too much on to even think I will be needing them before that. (You can always sneak in a wee bag of bright scraps - you know what I like - with them if you want.)

I'm always desperate for scraps! Although having made 2 scrap quilt tops I'm not sure why. I have a scrap vomit collection too. Would love to have some. Mx

Lovely quilt, lucky lady, and how do you part with scraps? I am saving anything bigger than a postage stamp! If you really want to rid yourself of some, I can probably find a use for them!even if they turn into greetings cards!

Sometimes it's a good idea to sketch out a timeline and break things down. It might not seem so bad! I know it always makes me feel better. The good thing is that you're off work until the 8th - I think you'll be surprised how much you can get done between now and then!

I'm always desperate for scraps too!

I always have need of scraps, although I waste nothing I am constantly sewing so my scrap vomit quilt gets further away not nearer. I am in South Lincs so perhaps could collect if not will happily pay postage, how about a swap for fat quarters.

Jean will love that quilt and what a nice pressy to give her as she moves. Have a good break and get well. If there are any scraps left then 'yes please' Di x

The quilting on that one for your friend looks as if it is going to be lovely. I love the gold on red.

I'd be up for taking some scraps off your hands as I am planning knitting doing a bottled rainbows quilt ( by stitched in colour) I donthave enough scraps to fill it.

Im happy to swap you for something or send you some fabric in exchange or paypal you some money?

Sounds like you are going to be pretty busy! I didn't realise you were swooning too, completely by coincidence I started one too last week!

Is that Kona coal against the orange? It looks lovely, I have been toying with buying some but have been stuck on the white so far.
If you have any scraps spare I would gladly pay in cash or fabric. I have joined my first ever bee & am afraid I don't have enough varieties of suitable modern fabrics to use in the blocks.
